Gazprom has resolved to point Yury Shamalov to the post of Gazflot Director General.

Mr. Yury Shamalov was born in the village of Andrany, Mstislav Region of the Mogilev Oblast in 1963.

From 1982 to 1987 did his military service in the USSR Armed Forces.

During 1987-2000 served in the security bodies of the USSR, Russian Federation.

In 1993 graduated from the Academy with the Ministry of the Interior of Russia getting specialty in Law.

Mr. Shamalov is married and has two children.

Mr. Alexander Mandel has been removed from office as Director General of Gazflot for retirement reasons.
