At the line of 27.2 km they installed 138 bearing constructions, mantled the new wire and the ground wire. At the end of works they will dismantle the old line built in 1975.

The realization of the first stage of one of the largest and most important projects of the investment program of “Arkhenergo” branch of IDGC of North-West in 2009 will be completed at the end of December. 

The reconstruction of overhead line of 110 kV “Voznesenye-Trentyevskaya” is carried out in the zone of responsibility of industrial subdivisions of Vasilievskiye and Kotlasskiye electric grids. The costs for the implementation of works accounted for RUR 135 million in general.

The basis for the reconstruction of the line “Voznesenye-Terentyevskaya” was its bad condition. The wooden bearing constructions and traverses where the line of 1975 was constructed rotted through. The percent of wear is 98%. Because of this, they took the decision about the reconstruction of the transit over head line.

“The life time of this line came to an end. Only for the past year, the wooden traverses broke several times. We bore the considerable costs carrying out the repair works at the worn out equipment,” says Alexander Lazuta, Deputy Chief Engineer, Head of the Industrial and Technical Department of “Velskiye electric grids”.

In 2007 they carried out the project of reconstruction. The preparation works started at the end of 2008 and since the beginning of 2009 the power engineers started the implementation of the reconstruction. The part of the line go through the slash, the depth of the peat is more than 3 meters. First of all the substitution of the bearing constructions was carried out first of all at such hard-to-reach areas.   

At present the installation of the bearing constructions at “Voznesenie-Terentievskaya” overhead line is completely ended. All in all power engineers at 27.2 km of the line installed 138 bearing constructions. The installation of the new wire of 120 mm2 section will help to decrease the technological losses during the power transmission. The reconstruction of the line will increase the reliability of transit of 110 kV “Obozerskaya-Zaovrzshie”

“The reconstruction is coming to an end, and now the contractor completes the installation of the wire and ground wire. We prepare the program of putting out of the operation of the worn out line and the implementation of a new one. At the end of all works the old line will be dismantled”, relied Alexander Lazuta.
