Alexey Vladimirovich Shalagin has been appointed the First Deputy General Manager of OJSC North-West Telecom starting from 11th February 2010.
Alexey Vladimirovich Shalagin will be coordinating the operation of the financial/economic, commercial, IT and accounting/reporting units of the Company and will be in charge of reorganization matters.
Alexey Vladimirovich Shalagin was born on 20th October 1958 in Leningrad.
In 1981 he graduated from the Leningrad V. I. Ulyanov (Lenin) Institute of Electrical Engineering, majoring in applied mathematics. He has a degree of the candidate of technical sciences, having defended his thesis in 1990.
In 1995 he received the second higher education degree – at the St. Petersburg State University, majoring in economics and enterprise management.
In 2008 he got the MBA diploma of the Academy of National Economy at the RF government, specializing in applied mathematics.
From 1981 till 1995 he was a research fellow of the Leningrad V. I. Ulyanov (Lenin) Institute of Electrical Engineering (LETI).
In 1995 – 2001 he held the position s of a division manager and deputy head of the financial department of the Industry and Construction Bank (Promyshlenno-Stroitelny Bank) (PSB), St. Petersburg . Since 2002 he has been the deputy economic manager of PSB at the Smolninsky branch.
From 2002 till 2004 he worked as the Deputy General Manager – Economics and Finance Manager of OJSC N.W.Telecom.
In 2004 – 2007 he held the position of the Chief Financial Officer in the branch of OJSC Mobile TeleSystems in the Volga – South-East macro region .
From 2007 till 2009 he headed the Volga – South-East macro region of OJSC Mobile TeleSystems as its Director.
Married, with two children.
