LUKOIL acquires fuel filling complex at Samara international airport

???LUKOIL-AERO (OAO LUKOIL wholly owned subsidiary) and LUKOIL Aviation Bulgaria (OOO LUKOIL-AERO wholly owned subsidiary) closed a deal to acquire a fuel filling complex at Kurumoch international airport (Samara).


Kurumoch international airport is the largest and the most promising airport located in the Volga region; it ranks among Russia’s top ten airports. The long-term Transport Strategy elaborated by the Russian Federation Ministry of Transport envisages establishing an air transport hub on the airport premises.


Total jet fuel consumption at Kurumoch international airport amounts to approximately 85 thousand tons. Samara filling station fills up aircraft produced in Russia with TS jet fuel and aircraft produced overseas with Jet A-1 jet fuel.


The LUKOIL Group Strategic Development Program envisages jet fuel filling business expansion, jet fuel marketing expansion, and establishement of a well-developed network of own fuel filling stations at Russian and overseas airports.


LUKOIL-AERO was established in 2004 and exercises full control over LUKOIL’s jet fuel marketing network.


LUKOIL-AERO provides the so-called “to the wing” jet fuel deliveries to over 50 Russian and overseas airports through the network of own subsidiaries or within the framework of the agreements with third-party fuel filling companies.   


LUKOIL-AERO provides services to over 100 Russian and overseas airlines. The Company’s share in the total volume of jet fuel deliveries to the Russian market is about 25%.
