As part of the XXIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rosneft and German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations signed an Agreement on cooperation in the area of technological development.
The Agreement was signed by Rosneft Vice President for Energy, Localization and Innovations Andrey Shishkin and General Director of the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations Michael Harms.
The document secures the parties' intention to explore the prospects for cooperation in utilization of energy-efficient technologies, automation of processes at petrochemical enterprises, innovative development, as well as the possibility of localization the production of German equipment in the Russian Federation.
During the negotiations, Rosneft and German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations expressed mutual interest in further development of cooperation.

erman Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations is an association of about 350 German enterprises, the main purpose of which is to organize interaction between companies and state structures of Germany and representatives of the countries-partners of the committee from the Eastern European region. The committee provides participating companies with information on current market trends by organizing industry conferences and creating working groups for specific industry projects.
In 2017, as part of the visit of Rosneft Chief Executive Officer Igor Sechin to Berlin, Rosneft CEO met with Michael Harms, the head of the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations. The parties agreed that Rosneft's contribution to the German energy industry will increase its activities efficiency as well as strengthen and expand the Company's position in the product markets, including Central and Eastern Europe.
