Moscow. 12 January 2004. The use of the new power boiler at Barnaulskaya CHPP-3 will help reduce the emissions of sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, which will significantly improve the environment situation in the area and help reduce the emission charges paid by the power plant. Besides, the BKZ 420-140 KS boiler of 420 t/h steam output is smaller compared to other boilers.
The integrated testing of the new boiler has proved, on the whole, that the engineering decisions used in the boiler are correct and will ensure its reliable operation. Upon completion of the installation, it is planned to start batch manufacturing of the BKZ 420-140 KS boilers, which will be used for renovation of the existing CHPPs and construction of new ones.
The boiler was designed and implemented by OAO "Altayenergo", OAO "VTI", OAO "Sibenergomash", ZAO "Elittekhnostroy", and the Altay State Technical University, with the assistance of the Department for re-equipment and improving energy repairs of RAO "UES of Russia".
