During a video conference on the fifth anniversary of the signing of the "The Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Crimea on the Accession of the Republic of Crimea in the Russian Federation", the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, inaugurated the 220 kV Port substation – a strategically important object for Krasnodar Krai from the viewpoint of development and investment potential of the region.
Pavel Livinskiy, the Director General of Rossetti, pressed the start button by the command of the Russian leader.
The substation will provide railway traction of the Crimean bridge, will feed the dry-cargo part of the Taman seaport as well as automobile roads, in particular, the highway M25 Novorossiysk – the Kerch Strait. The Port substation will also provide power to industrial facilities under construction on the Taman Peninsula.
"The Port substation, which has become a key energy facility built during the creation of the newest power grid of the Taman Peninsula, provides 432 MVA of free transformer capacity. The object is a part of the digital power grid of Russia being built by the Rosseti group", stressed the company's Director General Pavel Livinskiy.
The Port substation has no analogues in its technical characteristics throughout the south of Russia. Due to the use of advanced technologies, the power facility can be remotely controlled in online mode and that ensures its highest reliability and allows to reduce operating costs.
In addition to the Port substation, the Rosseti group has laid about 200 km of transmission lines during the construction of which modern materials have also been used which make the energy objects independent of any weather conditions.
