Gazprom’s Headquarters hosted an annually convened meeting of Gazprom’s top management and the RF Presidential and Governmental regional representatives. The meeting explored cooperation deepening between Gazprom and the RF constituents.
Attending the meeting were Alexander Ryazanov, Gazprom’s Management Committee Member, Viktor Ilyushin, Gazprom’s Management Committee Member, Boris Posyagin, Head of Gazprom’s Central Gas Flow Dispatching Department and other Gazprom and its subsidiaries’ leaders.
Opening the meeting, Alexander Ryazanov highly appreciated the contribution made by a range of regions into preparing key promising projects of Gazprom, including the Yamal, East Siberian and Far Eastern field development as well as the North-European gas pipeline (NEGP) construction.
The parties touched upon matters relative to the gas industry potential development in the RF regions, gas supply structure optimization, expanded gas supply throughout Russia Program implementation, residential gas measurement system development and gas payment discipline reinforcement.

As of 1 April 2005, Gazprom concluded cooperation agreements with 71 RF regions and is currently working on another three to be signed soon.
At present, Gazprom provides gas to 64 RF constituents.
Over 2004, the Company furnished the RF consumers with some 290 bcm of gas paid up at 97%. The RF customers’ natural gas debt declined within 2004 by RUR 0.73 bln to RUR 32.3 bln, as of 1 January 2005, with the population (54.6%) and utilities (18%) being the largest debtors.
Under the 2004 Program on gas supplies to the RF regions, Gazprom laid over 2.5 thou km of gas distribution pipelines in 21 RF constituents, channeling more than RUR 2.7 bln for these purposes.
