The JSC "Techsnabexport" has been awarded Europe's International Prize "For Quality"

On October 19, 2009 in Melia Castilla hotel (Madrid, Spain) the Foreign Trade Joint Stock Company "Techsnabexport" was awarded Europe's International Prize "For Quality".

Europe's International Prize "For Quality" (New Millennium Prize) is awarded on an annual basis by the Editorial Office publishing group jointly with the Trade Leaders Club. The prize represents a bronze sculpture by Martin Perilyan.

When accepting the Prize and diploma of honors, the JSC "Techsnabexport" Director General Alexey Grigoriev expressed his gratitude to the event organizers for selecting the Company as an exporter of top quality products and services. He noted that the Company is one of the leaders on the global market of products and services of the nuclear fuel cycle intended for nuclear power generation. The JSC "Techsnabexport" is a dynamically developing company improving from year to year its efficient activities in export of products and services by the facilities affiliated to the "Rosatom" State Corporation. In 2008 the Company satisfied nearly one third of demands in uranium enrichment services by the utilities operating Western-design nuclear reactors. The Company's export volume exceeded three billion US dollars in 2008.

Europe's Prize "For Quality" of 2009 is far from being the first international award received by the  JSC "Techsnabexport" throughout its 46 years of operation. It is another evidence of high estimation of the Company's contribution in developing trade with nuclear materials and services and international cooperation. The Company was awarded the Golden Mercury prize, four prizes by the Editorial Office international organization, including the prize "For the Best Quality of Manufactured Products", "To the Best Technological Enterprise", "To the Enterprise with the Best Trade Mark", and also a prize awarded to the company that achieved the best export results on the United States market. Among various international awards one should mention the Torch of Birmingham granted to the Company for survival in difficult economic conditions. Based on the results of foreign trade activities by Russian enterprises in 1997, 1998, 2001 and 2007, the Company was awarded a diploma of honors and honorary badge "The Best Russian Exporter".

The Joint Stock Company "Techsnabexport" (trademark TENEX ) is the largest supplier to the world market of products and services of the nuclear fuel cycle, with subsidiaries in Germany, Republic of Korea, Japan and UK, and acting as the Executive Agent under the Russia-USA Inter-governmental Agreement on deliveries to the United States of low-enriched uranium downblended from the high-enriched uranium removed from nuclear warheads. In addition, the Company delivers Russian uranium products to meet over one third reactor requirements of nuclear power plants in the USA, Western Europe, countries of Asian and Pacific region.
