Gazprom’s Headquarters today has hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Dmitry Kazakov, Director General of Beltransgaz.

The parties discussed the main issues of bilateral cooperation and terms of Russian gas supply in 2007.

The parties also reviewed the progress with the independent assessment of Belarus’ gas transmission system market value.

Gazprom and Beltransgaz sealed a Gas Supply and Transit Contract for 2006 on December 27, 2005. Under the Contract, Gazprom will provide Belarus with 21 bcm of gas, of which 1.5 bcm will be supplied provided there is capacity available.

The gas price and transmission tariff are in line with the arrangements for 2005. The price of gas is US$ 46.68 per 1,000 cu m. The tariffs for gas transmission by the Beltransgaz-owned networks and Yamal-Europe pipeline account for US$ 0.75 and US$ 0.46 per 1,000 cu m, respectively.

On the initiative of the Belarusian side, the value of Belarus’ gas transmission system is being assessed by ABN Amro.
