Wednesday, September 20 – Standard & Poor’s rating agency raised the international credit rating of AO MOSENERGO from level «B-» to level «B». Russian company rating is raised from «ruBBB+» to «ruA-». The share acquisition recommendation is positive.

The increased ratings are linked to improvement in the liquidity of AO MOSENERGO through its successful 5 billion ruble bonded loan flotation, the proceeds of which will be used to refinance the current Company indebtedness of the Company.

AO MOSENERGO’s rating reflects the Company’s strong competitive advantage on the electrical power and heating market of the rapidly-developing Moscow region, resulting from combined production of heat and electrical energy and from technical limitations experienced by competing energy producers.
