Tests of the devices in actual conditions on the substations of Orenburg power grid will be carried out at least half a year. These devices are a unique development of the scientists of the non-commercial partnership “Innovations in Power Industry” (NP “INVEL”) and the first successful experience of the kind in Russia. The essence of the development is that the devices detect and measure malfunctions in power network equipment simultaneously from two distant points and automatically transmit the data via satellite communication to the center located in Moscow. The results are analyzed by Moscow scientists. Practical value of this development is determining of reasons and trouble points in the operation of the equipment and, consequently, reducing the number of disconnections and raising reliability of the network electric equipment owing to accident prevention. Hence, implementation of such equipment will enable to carry out the main task of the grid specialists which is raising reliability of the electric power supply.
