The Gazprom Headquarters today has hosted a working meeting between Alexander Ananenkov, Acting Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Dave Lesar, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Halliburton.

The parties discussed issues relevant to possible cooperation while developing and using new technologies and equipment for oil and gas field operation and during the geological survey and well drilling. For these purposes the parties will set up a joint expert group to be comprised of specialists from the core business units.

Gazprom and its affiliated companies have been cooperating with Halliburton since 1997. Equipment, technologies and experience of Halliburton specialists were successfully applied during operation of the Yamburgskoye, Urengoyskoye, Zapolyarnoye, Shtokman, Prirazlomnoye and other fields.
