IDGC of North-West disclosed information about energy deficient feeding centres

In the future it is planned to work out an electronic map of electric networks of the North-West that will show the level of capacities available in each area.

The branches of IDGC of North-West prepared maps of electric networks with energy deficient feeding centres of 35, 100 and 150 kV. They are published on the web sites of the branches of the Company in the section “Customers”.

According to Head of the Department of Perspective Development and Technological Connection, IDGC of North-West, Arthur Myaki, the maps with the data about loading of feeding centres will be a good help for their customers, including investors.

“Those who plan to make a technological connection to the networks of IDGC of North-West in any of the seven regions serviced by the Company, will be able to study the information about substations and free capacity at them on the web sites and make a more or less thought-out decision on where to place their business”, he said.

For example, today in the Pskov Region fifteen 110/35/150 kV substations are working in full swing. The main part of them is in Pskov and Velikie Luki. Thus, the price for connection to them will be higher in energy deficient regions, than in the regions with a large reserve of capacities.

The specialists of Kolenergo, a branch of IDGC of North-West, made the most easy-to-use map with information about loading of feeding centre s. The energy map helps to choose quickly the needed area of the Kola Peninsula and learn about the Kolenergo substations that are located there.

By pressing the button on the selected map of the substation the user will get a detailed information about it: its production department, indicators of nominal voltages, number and capacity of transformers, information about maximally allowable and actual loadings, about free capacities, etc.

“In the nearest future we plan to purchase an electronic map of the North-West Federal District of the Russian Federation in the vector format; then we will add to this map schemes of 35, 110 and 150 kV electric networks and the current capacity deficiency”, said Arthur Myaki.

“After summarizing data on electric networks with 35, 110 and 150 kV feeding centres in the North-West Federal District, we will have a fuller and simpler map of availability and distribution of capacities in the region. This is the first step that IDGC of North-West will make on the way to the outlook of perspective changes of loadings and energy consumption”, said Head of the Department of Perspective Development and Technological Connection.

A month ago IDGC of North-West and North-West branch of Agency for Electric Balances Forecasting JSC signed an agreement on cooperation in the issues of development of the grid system. The parties plan to cooperate in perspective development of electric networks, in particular, to develop outlooks of electricity consumption and changes of loadings in the entities of the North-West Federal District of the Russian Federation.

Now IDGC of North-West is making a ‘Standard of prognosis of future changes of loadings and energy consumption’.
