Gazprom's Headquarters has hosted today a working meeting between Alexander Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom's Management Committee, His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg and Jeannot Krecke, Luxembourgish Minister for the Economy and Foreign Trade.

The parties discussed potential joint energy businesses, in third countries inclusive.

The parties confirmed their mutual interest in diversifying economic relations including in respect to Gazprom’s possible involvement in the entire gas value chain, from hydrocarbon extraction to marketing.

The parties emphasized that the cooperation must be basically developed via long-term contracts that would secure the reliability and development stability of the entire energy sector.

Ultimately the meeting adopted a decision that a joint group of experts would shortly examine and submit concrete proposals on major activities.
