Ekaterinburg, April 27^th.

Powermen from metal service of Engineering and technical centre of Sverdlovsk region told young powermen about diagnostic equipment with the help of which they detect defects of metal and acquainted them with work of unique specialists that determine “metal illnesses”. Young powermen got interested with the process of determination of metal structure with the help of super microscope and the unique device that fractures metal and checks it on strength.

After meeting powermen children visited one of the enterprises – energy consumers – “Pepsi-cola” factory. They learned how and out of what their favourite drink is made, under what conditions it is created, how from small “vials” they blow big two-liter bottles and at the end of the excursion they tasted all kinds of aerated drinks that are produced by “Pepsi-cola” factory.

For information: the club “Young powerman” exists for five years. After reorganization of Sverdlovsk energy system the club became a common project of TGC-9 and “Sverlovenergo”.

Beside constant communication of club members with heads and specialists of TGC-9 take place traditional monthly meetings. During that time children got acquainted with energy objects of practically the whole Sverdlovsk region: Kachkanarskaya, Artyomovskaya, Krasnogorskaya, Novo-Sverdlovskaya, Pervouralskaya HPP, Reftinskaya, Nizhneturinskaya, Sredneuralskaya HPS, Verhoturskaya HPS.
