The operational control and equipment service of the substations of 6-110 kW voltage competitions between the operational staff took place in  IDGC of Volga,JSC branch – Saratov Distribution Grids. The competitions held before the mass repair works season are one of the most important elements devoted to increase of the level of professional skills and check of the training results. All the production departments of the branch will take part in the competitions. The jury assesses the following factors: knowledge of the instructions and norms in force, the ability to conduct the operational connection, preparation of the working place, access of the team to the scheme of the substation of 110/35/10 kW voltage which is conditionally at work, release of  the injured person (the mannequin) from the electric current influence in the cell of 35 MV voltage, ability of the team members to administer the first aid for the injured person, fight a fire on the oil-filled equipment of the substation, seek and debug the transformer chains of 6 kW voltage. The Right-bank production department of “Saratov Distribution Grids” branch first went of the marks. The competitions took place on the newly equipped training ground of the substation Balanda of 110/35/10 kW voltage in Kalininsk. 8 teams took part in the competitions. Every team consists of 5 members. Everyone has its own role – a master, a dispatcher, 2 electricians of operational and mobile team and a driver. The first place occupied the team of Kalininsky distribution zone. Besides, the winners in the nominations “The best master”, “The best dispatcher”, “The best electrician”, “The best driver” were defined.

The Right-bank production department conducted the competitions between the distribution grids teams on May 14. The jury declared Tatishchevsky DZ (distribution zone) team the best. The competitions in the production departments of IDGC of Volga, JSC  branch – Saratov distribution grids will last until the May 27, 2009. The winner among the production departments of the branch will be defined within the period from June 2 to June 4. The similar activities took place in other  IDGC of Volga, JSC branches in the Middle Volga and Orenburg. The final stage of the competition will be the  IDGC of Volga, JSC competitions which will take place in the “Balanda” substation at the end of June. The teams – winners of the regional competitions would represent their branches.
