“Interregional Distribution Grid Company of Volga,” Joint Stock Company was granted with the gratitude of Saratov region Governor for high rates and great contribution to the development of the regional industry. The company investment program adopted by the regional government is aimed at the development of distribution power grid system of the region in accordance with the “Package of the system measures devoted to the development of the power grid facilities of Saratov region during 2007-2010 years”.

New substation “Vostok” of 110 kW voltage was built in Engels as part of  IDGC of Volga, JSC investment program fulfillment. It will provide the growing need of power energy and create the power reserve. Putting into operation of the substation “Tereshka” of 220/110/10 kW voltage was the significant event for the region. It became the problem solution of the node “Saratov – Volsk – Balakovo - Hvalynsk” reliability. The substations put into operation are the first power energy objects of such scale built in Saratov region during the last 15 years.

IDGC of Volga, JSC continues to develop the power distribution grids in the current year. The reconstruction of “Novosokolovogorskaya” substation of 110 kW voltage, “Gas Processing Plant” (GPP) of 110 kW voltage and “Melzavodskaya” substation of 35 voltage will be finished during this year. The company modernizes the substation “Saratovka-1” and builds new high voltage line Novouzensk - Pogranichnoje to raise the quality of Zavolzhye power supply. The company has already started the mass repair works to prepare for the autumn-winter period in 2009-2010 years.
