Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee and Vladimir Skibin, General Director of the Central Institute of Aviation Motors named after P.I. Baranov (CIAM) have inked a three-year Memorandum on Cooperation between Gazprom and CIAM.

In accordance with the Memorandum, the basic areas of cooperation will be as follows:

·  providing technical & economic efficiency assessment for measures stepped up by gas pumping unit (GPU) developers to enhance operational specifications of the gas turbine units (GTU) and gas injectors manufactured for Gazprom;

·  involvement in developing GTU production requirements and technical tasks being in line with the present-day GTU technology standards as well as engineering solutions for a state-of-the-art gas turbine vehicle specifically intended for the use at Gazprom’s compressor stations;

·  performing certification tests of GTU and their parts at CIAM’s stands;

·  coming up with and implementing proposals to modernize GTU and their systems being operated by Gazprom’s subsidiaries.
