Moscow, 10 December 2003. RAO "UES of Russia" has been named "Company of the Year in the Fuel and Energy Industry" in this year's Kompania ("Company") Business Weekly Awards.

The Company Weekly has been holding its Annual Business Awards since 1999. The winners are chosen by the magazine's editorial staff based on the reviews of the activities of Russian and foreign companies on the domestic market. The main criteria for choosing winners are a company's innovation performance, increase in its market share, implementation of a large investment project, a successful completion of restructuring, or stable performance of a company over the recent years.
