PJSC LSR Group (“LSR” or the “Company”) releases its Sustainability Report, for the year ended 31 December 2020 (the “Report”). The Report is available at the website.
The Report was prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards and includes KPMG’s limited assurance report.
The Report contains information on the Company’s contribution to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as its progress on complying with the UN Global Compact Principles. For the first time, the Company discloses climate-related information in accordance with the TCFD recommendations.
The Report presents the Company’s approach and results of its sustainability activities for the year 2020. It provides information on areas such as environmental protection, provision of safe and decent working conditions, contribution to sustainable cities, countering corruption, as well as the Company’s goals for 2021 in these areas. The Report reflects the Company’s efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on ensuring business continuity, supporting employees, customers and local communities in the regions of presence.
Compared to the previous year, the Report expands the scope of environmental data disclosure and for the first time discloses indirect energy-related GHG emissions (scope 2) and information on climate risks and opportunities. The Report covers a broader list of material topics, and the survey to identify material topics in the preparation of the Report reached a greater number of respondents and stakeholder groups.

“In 2020, we continued to implement a systematic approach to sustainability. We strive to meet the demands of our stakeholders and ensure even greater transparency and high quality of disclosed information. Our priorities remain the development of safety culture and culture of intolerance to corruption, taking care of our employees, development of the regions where we operate, and environmental protection. In 2020, we strengthened the management of ESG issues by establishing the Sustainable Development Committee of the Board of Directors. In terms of social aspects, for the first time the Company conducted an employee satisfaction survey, which showed a high level of employee engagement at 78%. Management of environmental issues was strengthened by completing the first phase of the deployment of a centralised automated system to record environmental data, as well as completing the first phase of the deployment of a GHG calculation system (Scope 1 and 2). Progress in the field of sustainability contributes to the stable growth of the company’s position in ESG ratings.”
