KAMAZ-Metallurgy has made a good bargain with its strategic partner – a Russian Railways Inc. for supplying it with a range of spare parts. There was also reached an agreement with Russian Railways Inc. on increased delivery volumes of anchors and monoregulators.
Since last June KAMAZ-Metallurgy has signed a long-term contract with Southeast Railroad (Russian Railways Inc.’s subsidiary). The contract provides for delivery of 50 000 sets per month. “If this order is executed on time then it is quite possible that the volumes may increase up to 150 000 sets per month”, - said Ildar Kurbiyev, Director of Sales Department of KAMAZ-Metallurgy then. And, as the target volumes have been successfully met, the order now has indeed reached 150 000 sets per month.
Another KAMAZ-Metallurgy project with Russian Railways Inc. provides for launch into production of a new design friction wedges. Initially it is planned to cast this component as small test batches from high-duty cast iron of grades 60 and 70. User of these better grades resulted in improved fatigue strength features of finished products as compared with previously manufactured components cast from a grade 50 high-duty cast iron.
