On 16 March 2005 on the test field of vehicle trimming and testing research institute of Dmitrov town in Moscow region Vladimir Putin, the head of Russian Federation, got acquainted with KAMAZ Inc.’ products. To the president were demonstrated Mustang family trucks and KAMAZ armored truck. In February federal border services commission gave this truck amen and later it will be put into mass production.

The president also saw military and double purpose vehicles. Besides, he acquainted with the trucks of KAMAZ-Master team. Vladimir Putin even drove Dakar KAMAZ-4911 instructed by “Barcelona-Dakar 2005” winner – Firdaus Kabirov.

Then the president talked to KAMAZ Inc.’ direction and spoke with KAMAZ-Master team members. He congratulated the team with Dakar-2005 victory.

“KAMAZ holds not only domestic market positions it also successfully enters foreign markets,” said the president.

He informed KAMAZ-Master team that on 31 of March in the Kremlin its team managers and pilots will be recommended government rewards.
