St-Petersburg, Russia; 28 October, 2015–Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of a new hypermarket in Chelyabinsk, following its acquisition from O’KEY Group earlier in September
The new store is a Lenta compact format hypermarket located at 23 Cherkasskaya Street, Chelyabinsk. The store has a total area of 14,600 sq.m, with 6,000 sq.m of selling space and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A broad product assortment of 19,000 SKUs has been selected specifically for residents of Chelyabinsk and includes Lenta’s private label and federal product ranges alongside local produce. The store has 400 parking spaces and 36 cash registers. The property is owned by Lenta.
This opening is Lenta’s fifteenth hypermarket opening in 2015 and brings the total number of Lenta stores to 123 hypermarkets in 63 cities across Russia and 27 supermarkets in the Moscow region.
