With this opening, Lenta expands its network in Siberia to 29 hypermarkets in 11 cities
St. Petersburg, Russia; 20 April, 2016 – Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of its third hypermarket in Barnaul. The new store is a Lenta “supercompact” format hypermarket located in Pioneer shopping centre on Lenina av., 102 B. The store has a total area of 5,231 sq.m, with 2,989 sq.m of selling space and is open from 8 am to 12 pm, seven days a week. A broad product range of 12,000 SKUs has been selected specifically for residents of Barnaul and includes Lenta’s private labels and federal product ranges alongside local produce. The store is equipped with 19 cash registers. The shopping mall has 1,000 parking spaces. The property is leased by Lenta. The opening in Barnaul is Lenta’s fourth hypermarket opening in 2016 and brings the total number of Lenta stores to 143 hypermarkets in 70 cities across Russia and 38 supermarkets in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
