The most eminent representatives of the Russian business elite, leaders of the biggest domestic companies, and heads of the mass media took part in the solemn decoration ceremony held in the "Baltchug-Kempenskiy" Hotel.

In each nomination, the winner was selected out of three contender companies. Along with PJSC MGTS, "METRO Cash&Carry" and "DHL" companies were put forward as award-seekers in the "Field of Services" nomination. Thus, the work of the PJSC Moscow City Telephone Network leadership and the Company's 20 000 personnel for raising the quality of customer servicing, won the public recognition.

"The Company views the decoration it has been presented with not only as the cause for feeling proud, but as a motivation for further betterment of its operation. The PJSC MGTS' plans are not only to construct new telephone exchanges and upgrade the Network on a large scale, but also to ensure a massive provision of fundamentally new services based on up-to-date technologies to its users", Mr. Simon V. Rabovskiy, the Company's First Deputy General Director, emphasized during the presentation of PJSC MGTS with the "Best Company of 2002" contest laureate diploma.

The "Best Company of the Year" contest has been conducted for a fourth time. The first contest took place in 1999.

In different years, the winners of the contest were such recognized leader companies of the Russian business as "Norilsk Nickel", "Vympelcom", Sberbank (Savings Bank), the "Seventh Continent", etc.
