Condition of the grid complex as a whole on the threshold of the autumn-winter season will be assessed by the committee of the management company.

Checks of preparedness of branches for winter start in distribution grid companies of IDGC of the North-West. All distribution companies formed the committees for check of preparedness of branches for the autumn-winter season. Check of readiness for winter in JSC Vologdaenergo and JSC Kolenergo start on September 17.

The checks will be finished prior to the beginning of October in all distribution companies. The structure of the committees includes managers of IDGC of the North-West, distribution grid companies and representatives of RosTekhNadzor (the Russian Federal Service for the Ecological, Technical and Atomic Supervision), regional dispatching managements and managements of the Ministry for the Emergency Situations.

Experts shall estimate a course of repair work, which should be completely finished prior to the beginning of autumn-winter season. The special attention will be given to the condition of transmission lines, readiness of power facilities for the work in conditions of high loading and low temperatures.

The committees will check volumes of emergency stocks of the equipment and materials, which will be used in case of need of replacement and repair of the equipment in winter.

Also provision of the personnel with the equipment and overalls, presence and availability for service of mobile diesel engine-generators will be considered.

Anti-wreck trainings shall be held in the companies together with local authorities and experts of the Ministry for the Emergency Situations before the beginning of the winter period. Trainings on introduction of modes of restriction of power supply in conditions of peak loadings have been held this year for the first time.

Preparedness of branches of the power companies for winter will be confirmed by the delivery of passports of readiness for autumn-winter season.

After checks of branches, the condition of the regional grid complex on the threshold of winter will be checked up by the committee of IDGC of the North-West. According to the results of checks, the committee of IDGC of the North-West will make a resolution on delivery of passports of preparedness for winter to the regional distribution companies.
