The total amount of investments into development of the grids of the “Kolenergo” branch of IDGC of North-West within the limits of maintenance of electricity supplies to Murmansk transportation junction will exceed RUR 2.6 billion.
Today, October 16th, the general director of the leading distribution grid company of Russia’s northwest has delivered the report “On electricity supply maintenance of the Murmansk transportation junction objects” to participants of the economic Forum which is held in the Polar Region capital October 15th to 16th. According to Alexander Kukhmay, the total amount of investments into development of the grids of the “Kolenergo” branch of IDGC of North-West within the limits of maintenance of electricity supplies to Murmansk transportation junction will exceed RUR 2.6 billion.
The largest objects planned to be built on the Western and Eastern coast of the Kola Bay are three substations of 150/35/6 kV voltage, one substation of 35/6 kV voltage, several high-voltage lines. Large-scale reconstruction of a number of operating energy objects is also required.
The IDGC of North-West’s general director focused attention of the Forum participants on the proceeding growth of demand for connection to grids in Murmansk, when possibilities for connection of additional capacities to Kolenergo’s substations are restricted. Thereupon Alexander Kukhmay has underlined necessity of building “Severnaya” substation (150/35/6 kV), reconstruction of Kolenergo’s nine operating substations, and importance of appearing “Murmanskaya” substation (330 kV) of the Federal Grid Company in the power map of the region.
Alexander Kukhmay has stated a positive estimation to the first business forum of such a scale organized in the Kola Polar Region. “It was important for us to designate not simply issues of organization of reliable electricity supply of the Murmansk transportation junction objects at the Forum, but also to show their importance, necessity of their obligatory solving as a whole with other issues on development of the transportation infrastructure. And we have completed this task,” the IDGC of North-West’s General Director said.
