Usage of composite electric conductor is caused by the need to increase the existing 110 kV overhead transmission line capacity.
An ACCR-type empowered aluminum composite electric conductor, a production of modern technologic developments, is planned to be used under building of 110 kV distribution point at the territory of Vologodskaya CHP at “Vologdaenergo”, a branch of IDGC of North-West, JSC.
Building of 110 kV distribution point is being carried out within the frameworks of technological connection of 110 kV combined cycled gas turbine of Vologodskaya CHP to “Vologdaenergo” electric grids. The composite electric conductor is to be used under reconstruction of the existing 110 kV overhead transmission line which is to connect the CHP and the energy system.
Usage of the composite electric conductor is caused by the need to increase the existing 110 kV overhead transmission line capacity. Moreover, it is connected with absence of the possibility to implement a full reconstruction of the line under the conditions of city building as well as steep demands of owners of land property which the overhead transmission line passes through.
Installation of the modern aluminum composite electric conductor at 110 kV overhead transmission means increase of the grid capacity by 2.5 times. It will allow for full capacity of the connected CHP input into the energy system” – explained Senior Engineer of “Vologdaenergo” Anatoly Pinizhaninov.
Overhead electric energy transmission line (LEP) has been worked by ZM Company.
