“Direct consumers” mean legal entities having concluded “direct” contracts for provision of electric energy services provision by the grid organization, bypassing the retail energy one. In 2011, IDGC of the North-West, JSC transmitted to consumers across the grids 40,244 bln kWh of electric energy (in 2010 40,752 kW), in 2009 – 38,948). Provision of electric energy transmission services represents the company’s core production activity. Guarantee suppliers, retail energy companies, territorial grid organizations and “direct consumers” accordingly account for 42.6%, 11.7%, 26.5% and 19.2% of the total amount of electric energy transmission services provided. As of December 31, 2011 the company had concluded 125 contracts for provision of electric energy transmission services (including 9, 15, 82 and 19 contracts with Guarantee suppliers, retail energy companies, territorial grid organizations and “direct consumers” respectively). “Direct consumers” mean legal entities having concluded “direct” contracts for provision of electric energy services provision by the grid organization, bypassing the retail energy one. According to the retail electric energy market rules, the consumer has the right to independently settle relationships with the grid organization in connection with electric energy transmission services.
