Prior to that time, Mr. Kuhmai held the post of IDGC of the North-West Executive Vice President and Chief Engineer.
JSC IDGC of the North-West Board of Directors has elected Alexander Kukhmai as Chief Executive of the Company with effect from July 1, 2008.
The Board of Directors made the decision on the appointment of the Head of Interregional Distribution Grid Company of the North-West at the meeting as of June 27, 2008.
Prior to that time, Mr. Kuhmai held the post of IDGC of the North-West Executive Vice President and Chief Engineer.
Alexander Kukhmai
Alexander Kukhmai was born on April 23, 1951. Mr.Kukhmai graduated from Leningrad Polytechnical Institute Named after M.I.Kalinin. From 1976 to 1990 he served at Nivskaya hydro power plant as a shift engineer and Chief Engineer of the automatic equipment relay protection service and the Technological Department Head. In 1990 Mr.Kukhmai headed the chain of Pazsky hydro power plants, a JSC Kolenergo subsidiary. From 1994 to 1997 he was JSC Kolenergo Chief Officer for Labour Forces and Social Issues and Executive Vice President . From 1997 to 2004 Mr.Kukhmai was JSC Kolenergo Deputy Chief Enginer and later Chief Engineer. From 2004 to 2005 he served as JSC North-West Power Engineering Centre Executive Vice President and Senior Executive Vice President; from 2007 Mr.Kukhmai was JSC IDGC of North-West Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Engineer. Mr.Kukhmai was presented the title of Honoured Worker of United Power System of Russia and was awarded Certificates of Merit by JSC RAO UES of Russia , Minpromtorg of Russia (Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Russian Federation). He also received a Letter of Thanks from St-Petersburg Assembly . Mr.Kukhman is married and has two children.
