The Samara Distribution Grids awarded the Best Fire Prevention Program Award in the competition between various divisions of the branch. The goal of the event was to improve fire preparedness at various divisions of the Samara Distribution Grids and facilitate active fire prevention measures at energy facilities. Over the year all the divisions of the company underwent thorough fire safety inspections to determine the best prepared divisions. The special commission examined fire prevention measures and fire extinguishing equipment, and tested the employees’ knowledge of requirements, norms and rules of fire safety. Fire drills were used to test evacuation preparedness in administrative and manufacturing buildings, and fire extinguishing skills. The commission noted that the territory of the winning division, its facilities, evacuation routes, and the fire alarm system were in excellent order, and commended the division for meeting all fire safety requirements throughout the operation cycle. Zhigulevskoe Division came first with the largest number of points, and was awarded the title of Best Fire Prevention Program. The Samara division came in second, just a few points behind. The third place went to Chapaevskoe Division, and the fourth – to Volzhskoe Division. This competition has been held in IDGC of Volga, JSC annually and is one of the events intended to assure reliability of deliveries and prevention of accidents in the upcoming fall and winter season.
