Specialists of Saratov Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC, conduct reconstruction of 110/6 kV substation Novaya in Engels city.
At the previous stage, 6 kilovolt indoor switchgear has been reconstructed and vacuum switches have been installed. Also, the building has been heat insulated, electric wiring has been replaced, LED lamps and new heating devices have been installed. All this helped to reduce the consumption of power used for own needs of the substation.
Today equipment of 110 kilovolt open switchgear (ORU-110 kV) is being replaced at the substation. New ORU-110 kV has remote controlled disconnectors. Their utilization will help to increase significantly operating staff safety. Another important element of ORU-110 kV is SF6 circuit-breaker manufactured by Siemens. This type of equipment is highly fire- and explosion safe, has long interrepair cycle and low costs of maintenance.
Reconstruction of 110/6 kV substation Novaya will make it possible to increase reliability of power supply to consumers of Engels city, the Saratov region, among which are MUP Vodokanal, CHP-3 and mass consumers of public utilities.
