In the current year, Mordovenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC, will invest over 89 million rubles to implement the repair program. Capital repair of overhead power transmission lines, cleaning and expansion of the line corridors will remain the priority activities. Specialists of the grid company will spend these funds on capital repair of power transmission lines with total length of 911 km, sixteen 35-110 kV substations (SS), 64 transformer substations and distribution centres. Activities on clearing and expanding the forest corridors along the power transmission lines are to cover the area of 724 ha. Key facilities covered by these full-scale repair activities in 2014 will include a number of large substations: Krasnoslobodsk 110/10 kV SS, Bolshoe Ignatovo 110/35/10 kV SS, Beresniki 110/35/10 kV SS, Yugo-Zapadnaya 110/6 kV SS, Severnaya 110/6 kV SS. If completed in a timely and workmanlike manner, the repair activities at substations will allow to increase the service lives of these facilities and to extend periods of failure-free operations.
