Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) will ensure technological connection of the new dairy and livestock complex currently constructed in Borsky district of the Samara region. Once connected to the power grid system, this modern technology-intensive facility planned to accommodate up to 1,200 cows will receive 325 kW of high voltage power. This dairy and livestock complex is constructed with support of Corporation of Development of the Samara Region, JSC. To ensure technological connection at 35 kV substation Aldarkino delivering electricity for the new livestock facility, specialists deployed a number of new controls and relay protective equipment, current transformers and line-isolating switches, a new 10 kV overhead power transmission line and one 10/0.4 kV package transformer substation. All activities are to be completed by the end of this year. Constriction of the new dairy and livestock complex in Borsky district of the Samara region started in 2013. The planned stock-carrying capacity of this high-technology complex will be up to 1,200 animals. The annual milk yield per cow will be over 9 thousand kg, with the total milk yield reaching 10.8 thousand tons. The use of state-of-the-art agricultural machinery, advanced technologies and equipment will allow to create new jobs attractive for the young. Support of agro-industries, including provision of reliable power supply, is one of priority areas for power sector companies. “Due to efforts made by the regional government aimed at further development of agro-industries, we achieved significant results in this area. In recent years, the growth rates of agricultural production in the region outrun those reported for other regions of the Volga Federal District. As a matter of fact, the region is approaching the intensive stage of development, and reliable power supply is a key to successful implementation of new projects. Our goal is to promote development of modern power grid infrastructure able to accommodate future electricity demand of regional consumers. And we make every effort to this end”, comments Konstantin Sanayev, Deputy Director General of IDGC of Volga, JSC and Director of Samara Distribution Grids.
