A new 45-meter tall metal radio mast will ensure high-quality voice communications between Operational Dispatch Service staff and emergency response crews of Northern Electric Grids of Orenburgenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies). This new base station is to replace the old support with antennae feeder devices commissioned in 1978. The new tower weighing several dozen tons was installed in three stages, from frame assembly to installation of antennae-feeder devices, signal multipliers, EMERCOM public address systems and beacon lights. “This communication network design is based on the point-to-multipoint topology. The broadcast coverage area of this 45-meter high tower extends to 30 km, providing enhanced communication capabilities for operational staff and functional teams even in the most remote areas, without any disturbances and ambient noises,” commented Igor Rodionov, Head of Operational Dispatch Service of Northern Electrical Grids of Orenburgenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC. According to Roskomnadzor, radio emissions are within maximum permissible limits.
