Perevolotskaya solar power plant was launched on May 20, 2015 in Perevolotskiy settlement. Ceremony was attended by Yuri Berg, the Governor of the Orenburg region, Victor Kazhaev, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Volga, JSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) – Director of the Orenburgenergo branch, representatives of the Orenburg region government, heads of energy companies and Igor Akhmerov, General Director of Hevel company. Welcoming the ceremony participants, Governor Yuri Berg pointed out that the region had actively supported investors` initiative for construction of nine power supply solar plants with aggregate capacity of 95 MW. Perevolotskaya power plant is the first one of these nine plants. Besides, construction of the solar plant with 25 MW power is already underway in Orsk, and this is going to be the largest facility of alternative energy sources in the country. Solar power plants in the Orenburg region will supply electricity to the wholesale market. This requires a connection to the national power grid. “We are ready to do it. We discussed with representatives of OOO AvelarSolar Technology (subsidiary and affiliate of Hevel company) schedule for the grid connection of all solar power plants to be built in the area of responsibility of the Orenburgenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC. We have clearly defined deadlines for all milestones and responsibilities of each party”, emphasized Victor Kazhaev. He has also mentioned that technical condition of the electric grid complex allows, without any problem, to receive and deliver to the wholesale electricity market not only contracted today power, but also future prospect power. To connect the first solar power plant in Perevolotskiy district to the network, Orenburgenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC, performed calculations, selected connection point and determined technical conditions, in accordance with which was built 10 kV cable line from OOO AvelarSolar Technology facility to the Central electrical network substation “Perevolotskaya”. To connect heliostation with 5 MW power, on the Perevolotskaya substation will be installed additional cells. Planned completion date for grid connection is August 2015. Then, after the solar plant commissioning, it will be able to supply power to the wholesale market through national grid. At the moment, power engineers of the Perevolotskiy distribution zone temporarily powered the solar facility for commissioning works.
