Power workers of Samara distribution grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga JSC (a member of Rosseti JSC Group of Companies), have started complex overhaul of 35-110 kV substations. Works are conducted under 2015 overhaul program. It will result in significantly improved reliability of consumers power supply, including socially important facilities and larger industrial plants. Complex overhaul of the substations includes repair of switching equipment, intended to disable electrical circuit under emergency mode, disconnecting devices, high voltage inputs, cut-offs and short-circuit breakers, works on indoor and outdoor switchgears, power transformers, support rod insulators and so on. Additionally, as a part of repair and investment program, outdated equipment will be replaced by modern counterparts, more durable, environmentally and maintenance friendly. In total, within annual repair program, 58 substations of 35-110 kV on the Samara region territory will be overhauled. Annual complex of measures, aimed at equipment repair and replacement, is the priority task for Samara distribution grids and basis for successful autumn and winter period, as well as uninterrupted consumer power supply.
