Growing receivables force power engineers of Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies), to carry out a serious claims work. Currently, the total debt to the power grid company makes about 1 billion rubles. Apart from the negotiations with the debtor companies for the redemption of debts on a voluntary basis, appeals to the Prosecutor's Office, the Investigation Committee and the Ministry of Energy and Utilities of Samara region, Samara branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, has a large-scale claims work. Within the 10 months of this year, the courts of the Samara region received 290 applications for debt enforcement for the power transmission services and penalties totaling more than 1 billion 181 million rubles. On 156 claims the decisions have come into legal force, execution writs are obtained for debt collection from the debtor companies. The total amount of collected funds made more than 706 million rubles. However, debt growth is scarcely reduced. In fact, the territorial grid organizations (TGO) of Samara Region use a non-interest bearing credit out of the funds they need to transfer to IDGC of Volga, PJSC for electricity transmission services. "Unfortunately, the presence of an execution writ is not always a guarantee of debt payment. Among the debtors of the Samara branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, there are companies that do not make payments, even by the court order, trying to hide their financial and business activities. In the current economic conditions, non-payment of consumers for power transmission services causes both financial harm to the company and negatively affect the power supply to the entire population, "- says Svetlana Lapteva, the Deputy Director for Development and Sales of Services of Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC.
