Power engineers of Chuvashenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies), remove illegal outdoor advertising items located at power facilities of the company and create a real hazard for uninterrupted power supply to the population.
Specialists revealed many advertising structures and announcements on power transmission supports. All these unauthorized structures and announcements were installed in gross violation of the applicable electrical safety rules, which may lead to wide-scale disconnection of consumers from power supply and threaten life and health of people.
Moreover, placement of promotional materials at power facilities by third parties without securing approval of the power grid operator makes it difficult to perform maintenance and repair of equipment and creates risk of harm to health and life of the service personnel.
Chuvashenergo branch reminds that power transmission lines are a source of major hazard. Unauthorized persons may not be present in the grounds or in the premises of power grid structures, open doors of transformer points, switch switchgear devices on and off without authorization. It is prohibited to touch earthing leads laid along the supports or metal and reinforced concrete supports proper. Before performing works in protection areas of power transmission lines, it is necessary to obtain written permit from owners of power transmission lines.
You may report violations of power grid equipment operation rules or damages to the same by the following number: (8352) 39-92-62.
For reference: the Rules of determination of protection areas of electric power grid facilities and special conditions of use of land plots within protection areas, as approved by Resolution No. 160 of the RF Government dated February 24, 2009, prohibit any actions which may disturb safe operation of power grid facilities in the protection areas, including placement of any items and articles within passages and approaches for access to power grid facilities, as created in accordance with technical regulations and standards, as well as performance of any works or construction of structures which may obstruct access to power grid facilities without creating passages and approaches required for such access. Violators may be held administratively liable and criminally liable in case of heavy consequences.
