Rosseti Volga (brand of IDGC of Volga, PJSC) continues to implement the repair program for 2019 in preparation for work in the upcoming autumn-winter period. The main objective of the implemented set of measures is to ensure uninterrupted operation of the power grid complex and reliable power supply to consumers on the territory of 7 regions of the company's presence.
For 8 months of the current year, power engineers repaired more than 29 thousand km of overhead power lines (OPL) with a voltage of 0.4-110 kV, on which 77,139 insulators and more than 123 km of ground line were replaced. Large-scale work was carried out at the power supply centers – substations that provide electric power to residents of settlements and enterprises. At 35-110 kV substations, the company's specialists repaired 2,340 separators, short-circuit breakers, disconnectors and 1,512 switches with a voltage of 6-110 kV, replaced 2012 support grid insulators.
Also, power engineers repaired more than 5 thousand transformer substations of 6-10/0.4 kV. Employees of the Rosseti Volga company pay particular attention to clearing protected areas of overhead power lines from trees and shrubs, as the fall of trees and branches on the wires is one of the common causes of OPL damage. The widespread use of mulching equipment and other means of mechanization has allowed power engineers to clear the area of 4964 hectares from trees and shrubs. All planned works are carried out in accordance with the approved schedules.
