The power engineers from Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids, a branch of Rosseti Volga, have begun implementing the annual repair program. The agenda is focused on timely and properly preparing the power grid complex for the upcoming 2021/2022 heat deficit period.
The main work will take place from May to the end of September. Currently, repair crews are busy clearing the routes of overhead lines and preparing for large-scale repairs.
Special attention of power engineers is paid to carrying out repair work, minimizing the inconvenience to the residents of the region as much as possible. In case of frequent and prolonged power interruptions due to scheduled outages, redundant power sources will be used and, where possible, power supply schemes will be temporarily changed.
This year, the power engineers of Ulyanovsk will have to repair more than 125 km of 0.4–10 kV overhead lines, 236.5 km of 35–110 kV high-voltage lines, 25 35–110 kV substations and 606 6–10/0.4 kV transformer substations, as well as clear over 527 hectares of 0.4–110 kV overhead line routes.
The repair program of Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids is aimed at increasing the reliability and efficiency of the power grid complex in Ulyanovsk Oblast and will be implemented in a timely manner.
