This year specialists of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) checked the condition of 150 porcelain cups of VMT-110 circuit breakers.

This type of switchgear is widely used in electrical networks in all areas of operation of the company. During operation, circuit breakers of this type are exposed to weather conditions, such as moisture, temperature drops, wind loads).

Workmanship defects may also have an adverse effect on switching equipment. Ultrasonic scanning is carried out by means of UDS2VF-TsIVOM-EP and is based on the relevant home-grown technologies. The program is implemented in order to collect and analyze the most accurate and up-to-date information related to condition of circuit breaker cups.

This will allow to timely plan and carry out repair operations, ensure reliable operations across the entire power grid system and uninterrupted electricity supply for customers.
