Employees of Saratov Distribution Grids (SDG), a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group), improved reliability of power supplies to consumers residing in Saratov. The repair program scheduled for 2017 included the repair of 110 kV Saratovskaya — Leninskaya overhead power line used to transmit energy to 110/10 kV Leninskaya and Severo-Vostochnaya substations energizing industrial and transport businesses, local grid operators and residential areas in the Leninsky district of Saratov.
The routine repair contributed to higher reliability of the power line and energy supplies to consumers. The repair crews replaced sets of suspended insulators at some supports. New PS-70E insulators are more resistant to the environment. The specialists also checked bolt connections of anchor support loops and renewed permanent warning signs attached to the supports. Traditionally, SDG focused on vegetation management activities. The works were carried out using mulching machines. The 2017/2018 autumn and winter preparation campaign reached out to other branches of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, including Samara Distribution Grids, Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids, Penzaenergo, Orenburgenergo, Mordovenergo and Chuvashenergo.
