The Grid Control Center (GCC) of Chuvashenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group), successfully went through the inspection of its preparedness to expansion of the operational and process management functions scheduled at Stage 3. The results of the inspection were recorded in the report issued by the Commission consisting of representatives of Chuvashenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, Department of Operational, Process and Situational Management, Computer-Based Process Management Systems (ASTU), Department of Corporate and Process Automated Control Systems of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, and representatives of the system operator: ODU (Unified Dispatch Office) of the Middle Volga, a branch of SO UES, JSC; Regional Dispatching Office of Nizhny Novgorod, a branch of SO UES, JSC; and Representative Office of SO UES, JSC in the Chuvash Republic – Chuvashia. Chuvashenergo's program of preparation of the Grid Control Center (GCC) for performing operational functions involved the construction of GCC building fitted with the uninterrupted power supply system, installation of dynamic dispatch boards based on display cubes, central transmitting and receiving station for the operational information complex, multiple software and hardware complexes, as well as creation of digital communication channels used for dispatching and transmitting telemetric information. The above measures provide opportunities for operational management, control and monitoring of the status of distribution grids located in the Chuvash Republic, short- and long-term scheduling of repair of power transmission lines and equipment operated and maintained by Chuvashenergo. The inspection at final Stage 3 covered the performance of the main and redundant communication channels and telemetric data collection systems of the facilities related to operational functions at Stage 3, and availability of documents required to expand GCC's operational functions. Stage 3 also included the grid-wide emergency response training for operational staff of Chuvashenergo's GCC who demonstrated adequate level of skills and knowledge. The Commission involved in the inspection of preparedness of Chuvashenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, to expansion of the operational functions scheduled at Stage 3 noted that the equipment of Chuvashenergo's GCC matches all applicable requirements and GCC's staff is ready for future work. The expansion of GCC's operational functions will enable to improve the quality and reliability of control and monitoring of electric grid facilities within Chuvashenergo's area of responsibility, optimize the work load for the operational staff and reduce the time for elimination of process faults (accidents) which may occur in the grids.
