Power enginners of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (included in the Rosseti Group) continue to participate in innovative projects for the development of alternative energy sources. In 2019, technological connection of solar generation facilities with a total capacity of 110 MW is planned in Samara and Orenburg Regions.
Samara Distribution Grids branch is completing the implementation of a set of technical measures to connect Samara Solar Power Plant No. 2 with a capacity of 75 mW to the grids of IDGC of Volga.
In Sol-Iletsky Municipal District of Orenburg Region, two large solar generation facilities belonging to Orenburg Solar Power Plants LLC with a total maximum capacity of 35 MW will be connected to the Company's grids: Grigorievskaya and Elshanskaya Solar Power Plants.
"IDGC of Volga contributes to the development of green energy in Russia, carries out technological connection of large solar generation facilities in the regions of the Company's presence," Vladimir Kozlov, Head of Technological Connection Department of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, said. "For example, last year, solar power plants in Ershovsky, Pugachevsky and Novouzensky Districts of Saratov Region with a total capacity of 45 MW were connected to our grids. For this purpose, within the framework of the investment program, a number of activities related to the reconstruction of substations and the construction of a 10 kV aerial cable line were carried out. With the direct participation of power engineers of IDGC of Volga, the projects for technological connection of Chkalovskaya Solar Power Plant and Orenburgskaya SPP-1 with a total capacity of 75 MW were also implemented in Orenburgsky and Novosergievsky Districts of Orenburg Region.
