Georgy Romsky is relieved of his duties as OAO Svyazinvest Deputy General Director, to be appointed CEO at OAO South Telecommunications Company (STC). The decision was adopted at STC�s, March 3, Board of Directors.
Vadim Belov, Chairman of STC�s BoD, Svyazinvest Deputy General Director has commented on the promotion:
�Georgy Romsky is the best candidacy for this position. An experienced executive and a truly professional, he had gone a long way from an engineer to one of the best industry tops. Moreover, since 2001, Georgy Romsky is a member of STC�s BoD and a head of the Committee on Strategic Development. He knows the situation in the company from within and will be able to straighten things out.�
